Current: Ayodamola Okunseinde Aimọilẹ
Platform 5:55 proudly presents a new exhibition by the Nigerian-American artist Ayodamola Okunseinde which will be on view on all digital billboards in Frederiksberg Centret for exactly 5 minutes every day during Copenhagen Light Festival.
Okunseinde has created a new work Aimọilẹ specifically for Platform 5:55. The work is a five-minute science fiction film that examines the transatlantic slave trade. The work is a highly relevant, poetic and thought-provoking video work that playfully engages with the postcolonial debate in Denmark.
On view from January 29th–Feb 22, every day at 5:55-6:00 PM at Platform 5:55, Frederiksberg Centret, Falkoner Alle 21, 2000 Frederiksberg, Copenhagen.
Past: Magnus Pind Distributions
Platform 5:55 presents its very first pilot project - a new work by video artist Magnus Pind: Distributions.
Distributions is an exploration of inheritance and algebra. Pind weaves together inheritance and mathematics in a visual collage of images, diagrams, and words. In the middle of Frederiksberg Centret, we are surrounded by objects that change hands - things that are bought, used, and passed on - as gifts, as waste, as heirlooms. What does it mean to inherit something, and how are things connected across families, time, and place?
Distributions was on view Sept 1-7, 2025 at Platform 5:55.
Platform 5:55 is a contemporary art platform for video in Frederiksberg Centret, Copenhagen, Denmark. Curated by Rebekka Bohse Meyer and Magnus Pind.
